Menus

The menus are used to control the program. There are five different menus; File, Wallpapers, Layouts, SearchFolders, Tools and Help.

File

New	Starts a new imagelist. If the current one was changed, the program will prompt the user whether you want to save the changes or not.
Open...	Opens an existing imagelist. If the current one was changed, the program will prompt the user whether you want to save the changes or not.
Save	Saves the current imagelist. If the imagelist wasn't saved before, the program will prompt the user for the filename for the imagelist and directory where the imagelist should be saved.
Save As...	Will prompt the user for the filename for the imagelist and directory where the imagelist should be saved.
Import...	Import an imagelist into the current imagelist. The import feature will also allow you to import imagelist saved by Wallpaper Cycler 2.1.
Document Settings...	Changes settings of the current imagelist. Learn more about these settings.
MRU-list	The "Most Recently Used"-list shows you the Wallpaper Lists you've used recently. Simply click one to open that Wallpaper list.
Clear MRU List	Clear the "Most Recently Used"-list.
Close Window	Close the main window. Wallpaper Cycler keeps running in the Windows notification area and can be accessed using the Wallpaper Cycler icon in the notification area (the icons next to the clock of Windows).
Exit Wallpaper Cycler and Restore	Exits Wallpaper Cycler and restore the desktop as it was before Wallpaper Cycler was started.
Exit Wallpaper Cycler	Exits the program.

Wallpapers

Wallpaper Categories

Shows a submenu with Wallpaper Category related items. Learn more about Wallpaper Categories.

Add Category...	Adds a new wallpaper category to your wallpaper list.
Edit Category...	Edits the currently active category.
Delete Category	Deletes the currently active category.
Disable Category	Enables/Disables the currently active category.
Synchronize This Category...	Synchronizes the selected wallpaper category with the contents of the folders on your harddisk. Learn more about this feature.
Show Tags Details...	Shows a dialog with all tags for the selected category. The dialog also shows all tags that the category inherits from parent categories. Learn more about tags.
Enable All Categories	Enables all categories at once.
Disable All Categories	Disables all categories at once.
Synchronize All Categories...	Synchronize the contents of your categories with the contents of the folders on your harddisk. Learn more about this feature.
Synchronization Results...	Show an overview of the last synchronize action. Learn more about this feature.
Expand All Categories	This will expand all categories in the categories tree on the left of the main window.
Collapse All Categories	This will collapse all categories in the categories tree on the left of the main window.

Add Wallpaper...

Shows a submenu with options to add a new wallpaper.

Add Image Wallpaper	Adds a new image wallpaper to the list. Learn more.
Add Folder Recursively	Adds a new folder recursively to the list. Learn more.
Add Gradient Wallpaper	Adds a new gradient wallpaper to the list. Learn more.
Add Url Wallpaper	Adds a new online (URL) wallpaper to the list. Learn more.
Find Images on the Web	Shows a submenu containing websites where you can download wallpapers. NuonSoft is not responsible for the content found on those sites.

Edit Wallpaper...

Edits the selected wallpaper. Only available on URL and Gradient wallpapers.

Rename Wallpaper...

Renames the selected wallpaper. Learn more about renaming wallpapers.

Remove Wallpapers From List...

Deletes the selected wallpapers from the imagelist.

Delete Wallpapers...

Deletes the selected wallpapers from the imagelist and deletes them from your harddisk.

Move Wallpaper Up

Moves the selected wallpaper upwards.

Move Wallpaper Down

Moves the selected wallpaper downwards.

Go To Category

Go to the category of the selected wallpaper and select the wallpaper.
This is useful when you are browsing contents of search folders. You can select a wallpaper in a search folder and then click on "Go To Category". Wallpaper Cycler will then switch to the category of the selected wallpaper and select it.

Find

Shows a submenu containing tools to find a certain wallpaper.

Find Wallpaper	Finds a wallpaper based on a string that you specify.
Find Next	Finds the next wallpaper matching your search criterium.
Find Non-Existing Wallpapers	Finds all wallpapers that no longer exist. Learn more.
Find Duplicates	Finds all duplicate wallpapers across all categories. Learn more.
Find And Replace Wallpaper...	This allows you to find and replace wallpapers. This feature is useful when you have moved wallpapers on your harddisk. You can then find all old folder names and replace them with the new folder name. Learn more.

Set As Wallpaper

Sets the selected wallpaper on the desktop.

Set As Wallpaper Using Layout

Sets the selected wallpaper on the desktop using a specific layout.

Preview Wallpaper...

Shows a fullscreen preview of the selected wallpaper. You can also use the spacebar as shortcut to open the preview and use the spacebar to close the preview window. Learn more about the fullscreen preview.

Open Image With Default Program...

Views the selected image with the default editor for that file type on your system.

Open Image With "xyz"...

Views the selected image with a custom configurable program. You can configure this editor with the Tools > Program Settings > Miscellaneous > Program for "Open Image With" setting.

Select Image In Explorer...

Opens a Windows Explorer window and selects the currently selected wallpaper in that Windows Explorer window.

Show EXIF Data...

Shows a dialog with EXIF data of the selected wallpaper. Learn more about EXIF data.

Show Tags Details...

Shows a dialog with all tags for the selected wallpapers. The dialog also shows all tags that the wallpapers inherits from parent categories. Learn more about tags.

Rotate

Allows you to rotate the selected wallpapers. Learn more about rotations.
NOTE: Your original images on your hard drive will not be touched. Wallpaper Cycler will rotate your images on the fly when needed.

View

Allows you to change how the wallpapers are shown in the imagelist.

Details	Shows the wallpapers in list format.
Thumbnails	Shows the wallpapers as small thumbnails.
Columns	This option allows you to change which columns are shown when the imagelist is in "Details" mode.
Sort	This option allows you to change in what way the data is sorted. This works in "Details" mode and also in "Thumbnail" mode.
Contents Of Subfolders	If this is enabled, the contents of subfolders is also shown.

Select All

Selects all items in the imagelist.

Deselect All

Deselects all items in the imagelist.

Invert Selection

Reverses which items are selected and which are not.

Layouts

Layout Categories

Shows a submenu with Layout Category related items. Layout categories allow you to group related layouts inside one category.

Add Category ...	Adds a new layout category.
Edit Category ...	Edits the currently active layout category.
Delete Category ...	Deletes the currently selected layout category.
Enable Category	Enables/Disables the currently selected category.
Show Tags Details...	Shows a dialog with all tags for the selected layout category. The dialog also shows all tags that the category inherits from parent categories. Learn more about tags.
Enable All Categories	Enables all layout categories at once.
Disable All Categories	Disables all layout categories at once.
Expand All Categories	This will expand all layout categories in the categories tree on the left of the main window.
Collapse All Categories	This will collapse all layout categories in the categories tree on the left of the main window.

Add Layout...

Adds a new layout. Learn more about layouts.

Edit Layout...

Edits the selected layout.

Delete Layout

Deletes the selected layout.

Duplicate Layout

Duplicates the selected layout.

Move Layout Up

Moves the selected layout upwards.

Move Layout Down

Moves the selected layout downwards.

Show Tags Details...

Shows a dialog with all tags for the selected layout. The dialog also shows all tags that the layout inherits from parent categories. Learn more about tags.

Export Layouts...

Export the selected layout.

Import Layouts...

Import a previously exported layout.

SearchFolders

Add Search Folder...	Adds a new search folder. Learn more about search folders.
Edit Search Folder...	Edits the selected search folder.
Delete Search Folder	Deletes the selected search folder.

Tools

Wizard	Shows the Wallpaper Cycler Main Wizard.
Start Cycling	Starts cycling. Learn more about cycling options.
Slideshow Mode	Enables or disables the slideshow mode. Learn more about the slideshow mode.
Previous Wallpaper	Cycles back to the previous wallpaper.
Next Wallpaper	Cycles to next wallpaper.
Next Wallpaper From Same Category	Cycles to the next wallpaper in the same category as the current wallpaper.
Stop Cycling	Stops cycling.
Restart Cycling	The program will restart cycling from the first wallpaper in the imagelist. The cycling timer will be resetted and the shuffle feature will also be resetted.
Rerender Current Wallpaper	Rerender the current wallpaper on your desktop. This can be usefull to update for example a calendar object on the desktop.
Highlight Current Wallpaper	Highlight the current wallpaper on your desktop in the imagelist.
Set No Wallpaper On Desktop	Removes any wallpaper and leaves the desktop blank.
Refresh Desktop	Refreshes the current wallpaper on your desktop.
Reset Desktop	Restore the desktop as it was before Wallpaper Cycler was started.
Manage Thumbnail Database...	Manage the thumbnail database. Learn more about this.
Quotes Editor...	Edit your quotes files that can be used by a text-object on a layout. Learn more about quotes.
Notes Editor...	Edit your notes that can be used by a text-object on a layout. Learn more about notes.
Manage RSS Feeds...	Edit your RSS news feeds. Learn more about News Feeds.
Calendar Notes Editor...	Edit your calendar notes. Learn more about Calendar Notes.
Tags Editor...	Edit your tags. Learn more about tags.
Show Statistics...	Show statistics. Learn more about statistics.
Show Display Properties...	Shows the standard Windows display options.
Program Settings...	Changes the options for Wallpaper Cycler.

Help

Enable Online Help...	Switch between the Online help and the Offline help.
Contents...	Displays the table of contents for the online documentation.
Index...	Displays the index to the online documentation.
Search...	Searches the online documentation.
Enter Serial Number...	Shows a dialog in which you can enter your serial number.
Give Feedback and/or Register Your Copy...	Shows a dialog which you can use to send feedback or to register your copy of Wallpaper Cycler.
Wallpaper Cycler Home Page...	Opens the Wallpaper Cycler Home Page.
Bug Report...	If you've found a bug in Wallpaper Cycler, you can use this to report it to us. You can also report bugs on our website.
Check For Updates...	Checks if there are new versions of Wallpaper Cycler available.
About...	Displays the help-about dialog.
